Vision of Jesus
Vision of Jesus - October 30, 2005
On my way back home from a prayer conference in late October, I was traveling west to east on a highway in a state where our family lived about twenty-five years ago. We were living in this state, much farther east, when my husband and I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and when both of our children were saved.
Having left very early in the morning from the place I had been staying for four days, I was driving as the sun was coming up in the east. Being on a road where fond memories had been made, I was traveling along, enjoying the crispness and beauty of the fall morning, recalling some of the happy times we had there, when, suddenly, totally unexpectedly, I saw a vision of Jesus in the morning sky.
In the vision, Jesus was kneeling, with His face upturned to the Father, worshipping, with His hands lifted in praise and worship to the Father. His body was turned at about a 45 degree angle, and I could see His profile, His hair, and the outline of His features, although, I couldn't see every detail of His face. Peace and joy rested on His face and seemed to radiate from His upturned countenance at the same time.
I could see the parallel lines that formed the folds of His white robe as He was kneeling before the Father. I couldn't see the Father, but, in my spirit, I knew the Father was there. A transparent, golden light was coming from many parts of the body of Jesus. The same light streamed down through the perfectly straight folds of His robe, and those folds turned outward near His knees, as a garment would do when a person is in a kneeling position. He continued in the same posture, worshipping, for the duration of the vision.
The size of the image of the Lord, which I was being shown, is difficult to describe. In the sky, distances are not as easily measured with the eye, as they are on earth, because of the absence of reference points. The vision must have reached for miles into the sky, though. From where I was sitting in my car, it filled almost the entire depth of the windshield of the car. I was stunned at the size of the image of the Lord. It seemed to be closer to the earth than would be expected. All I can say is that it was absolutely huge and so breathtakingly beautiful. It was riveting. Words do not do it justice.
Finally, I decided that I would look away from the vision for a second or two, then look back and see if it were still there. I took my eyes off it, then, looked in the same place, and the vision remained, unchanged, for about ten minutes. I had to watch the road, naturally, but every time I looked in the direction of the vision, it was still there, exactly as it had been from the beginning. I didn't want to take my eyes off it, but the Lord kept me safe as I gazed on the vision while I was driving. It remained the same in appearance, in size, in brilliance, unchanged in every way, for the entire time.
At the prayer conference, a very anointed pastor's wife, who was ministering to women in ministry at that time, prophesied that visions of Jesus would become more prevalent to women in ministry. I had no idea that I would see this wondrous vision of Jesus so soon, on the way home.
This message is in no way intended to magnify women above men. "...there is neither male nor female; for we are all one, in Christ." Galatians 3:28
