"Hearts Yearning to Be Free"

"America, America! God shed His grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!"
On July 4, every year, our beloved nation, the United States of America, celebrates Independence Day, the day in 1776, when our Declaration of Independence was signed. Our Father God saw the hearts of believers who yearned to be free to worship Him as they believed He desired, according to His Word, the Holy Bible, and He opened the way for them to leave their homelands, traveling treacherous seas, to begin a new life of freedom on the shores of an uncharted land. To me, this says that the Lord will move heaven and earth so that hungry hearts can worship Him in spirit and in truth. It is because He is worthy and because Our Father desires the highest and best for His children, that He is totally committed to making the way for those who desire to worship Him.
Long before 1776, however, the Lord instituted an Eternal Independence Day for people everywhere. On Resurrection Day, when Jesus Christ, His Son, was raised from the dead, freedom from all bondage passed down to all who will receive this glorious freedom, because of Jesus' finished work on the Cross. "He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, was raised for our justification." Romans 4:25 As we trust in Jesus and what He has done for us, He looks through the eyes of grace and sees us 'just as if we had never sinned.' That is the meaning of justification. "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 What an Independence Day!
"So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied again to the yoke of bondage." Galatians 5:1
