COME ONE, COME ALL

The love and grace of God, through Jesus Christ, the Son, is far-reaching and compelling. He has made the way for 'whosoeverwill' to come into His great salvation. One does not have to be of any particlular country of origin, nor of any elite social class, nor of any prominent family tree to be included in the great and glorious family of our Father.

There is only one thing that the Father considers of absolute importance in becoming his sons and daughters, and that is faith in Jesus, the Christ, who gave His life on the Cross to save us from ourselves and from our sins. His Blood washes our sin away, as we come to Him in repentance, and we are immediately ushered into our Father's family and keeping.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:28

"Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all." Colossians 3:11

The body of Christ is made up of people of all tribes, nations, kindreds, and languages. It is a living, breathing organism, alive with the power and breath of God Himself, or the zoe, (Greek) life of God. As one trusts in Jesus in his/her innermost being, and turns to follow Him, that precious one becomes a child of the Living God, no more to be fatherless, no more to be bound by sin and its ravages, rather, that person's name is forever indelibly written on the palms of Jesus' nail-scarred hands.

"Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." Isaiah 49:16

Zerubbabel is an excellent example of the all-encompassing and far-reaching love of God. Actually, Zerubbabel was a man of Babylonian birth, and there are only four books of the Old Testament that mention him. He was a contemporary of the Jewish exiles who were taken into captivity for the seventy years, prophesied by Jeremiah. From all indications, Zerubbabel befriended the Israelites, believing in their God, and even led some of the captives back to Jerusalem from Babylon, being used of God to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem! How amazing, since he was a man of Babylonian descent! He had a love for the children of Israel and for Israel's God. He was adopted by Shealtiel, an Israelite. Because of his love for truth, Zerubbabel was given permission to go up to Jerusalem and to build the temple, which is sometimes called the Second Temple, or Zerubbabel's Temple, not as beautiful as Solomon's Temple, but it was the Lord's temple in Jerusalem where the children of Israel could worship the Lord Adonai.

"Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jehozadak responded by beginning the task of rebuilding the Temple of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them and helped them." Ezra 5:2

A portion of scripture with which many are familiar is Zechariah 4:6-10.

6 "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,' " saith the LORD of hosts.

7 "Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it."

8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

9 "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth." Zechariah 4:6-10

Numerous times, my family and I have stood on verses 6 and 7 in faith when we were facing what seemed like an insurmountable mountain of one kind or another. "Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord."

"Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it." Cry, "Grace to the mountain. It shall be removed by the Spirit of the Lord!" And we've seen many mountains moved by the Holy Spirit, I can testify! All glory to the Lord of Hosts!

God spoke these powerful words through Zerubbabel, a man of Babylonian descent who came in faith to know and love the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, our God! The Lord is no respecter of persons. What the Lord does for one, he will do for the other, as we only believe.

Believe Him today and be saved, healed, and delivered from all evil. Jesus knows your every thought, word, and deed, and He loves you with a fervent love. There is nothing you have done or could ever do that would quench the love of our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit for you. Come to Him today from your dry and thisty place, and drink of His great love for you. Partake of His compassion, His mercy, and His grace while there is still time.

Blessed be the Name of the Lord forever and forever!
