He Who Is, Who Was, and Who Is to Come
 |
This past Sunday, while my husband and I were worshipping, a strong anointing for praise warfare came from the Lord, and the Holy Spirit led us in that direction for some time. It was a beautiful and powerful experience in prayer and worship, one that we had had many times over the years, both in church services and in our home, but it had been some time since we'd had one this powerful. The title of this message is one of the phrases quickened to me by Holy Spirit that night.
One of the main callings, which we have as children of the King, is to be worshipping warriors. In the fullness of time, the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ. Until that day, there is worship warfare to be done, because satan is the archenemy of the children of God. He despises Jesus in us, although the devil has been a defeated foe since Calvary. He tries, unsuccessfully, to wage his insurgency on God's redeemed, therefore, we are to be sober and vigilant, knowing that he would like to trip us up. One of our greatest weapons against the kingdom of darkness is praise and worship. It stills the avenger and defeats our foes. Psalm 8
Oh, but we know the end of the story! Our God reigns!!! He is not the least bit ruffled at the devil's antics in his runnings around.
As we see from the revelation of Jesus Christ, in Revelation 1, the Lord is majestic, unshaken, staid, and undefeatable! He is the One Who Is, Who Was, and Who Is to Come! He is from everlasting to everlasting! No foe can move Him one iota! Don't you love Him and respect Him?
Our Lord cannot be compared with any other god. He is Almighty and possesses total authority. He has even given us the same authority to exercise over the enemy so that we may cooperate with Him to enforce His will in the earth. How much the Lord loves us and trusts us! His power in us enforces His will as we obey Him. He is love, and love conquers all.
"John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:4-8
And all in His temple cry, "Glory!" Psalm 29
