JOY UNSPEAKABLE
How do you describe what joy is to another person? This is a daunting endeavor, I remind you, because My joy is unspeakable. It cannot be aptly described in human languages, nor can it be spoken completely by the tongues of angels."
Joy must be experienced to be known. Heavenly joy can come only by making room in your heart for the King, Who was born in a stable and laid in a manger, while heavenly hosts of angels sang His birth. Make room in the inn of your heart for this glorious King Who lived a sinless life, honored and obeyed His Father in everything, raised the dead, healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, preached the gospel to the poor, died for the sins of all mankind on Calvary's cross, rose on the third day, and ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father. If you belong to Him, you are seated in heavenly places in Him. The Apostle John said that, if all the things Jesus has done, were recorded in books, there wouldn't be enough room to contain them. John 21:25 To know Him, is to know joy.
Joy is a powerful force, because the joy of the Lord is your strength. Facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles, joy will empower you to scale the summit of looming mountains. It will cause you to cry, "Grace," to the mountain, and it shall become a plain. Joy, which comes only from the Lord, will cause you to say at age eighty-five, like Caleb did, "Give me this mountain." It will enable you to serve the Lord in the calling He has given you, even in your youth, as Timothy did. The power of the joy of the Word of God moved Josiah, at age eight, to tear down the idolatrous altars, and rebuild the altars of God. Joy is a powerful force.
The joy of the Lord is yours today. It is being poured out from the hands of Jesus like clear, cool water and warm honey and milk. Open your heart today, child of God, and receive the unspeakable joy of the Lord. It is yours for the asking.
